Our Kennels
Built in 2000 the Kennel is a very comfortable and functional facility that can easily house up to 150 foxhounds including puppies and bitches in heat. The Bear Creek Hounds consist of about 40 couple of hounds which gives plenty of room for the pack in the large facility.
The huntsman and staff are able to manage the kennel easily, thanks to the logical layout which makes for a clean and healthy pack. Very much state of the art, it has a climate controlled surgical room with sunken hound bath and operating table for vetting purposes. A bathroom and shower, valeting room and an air conditioned office make for a nice place for the huntsman to take care of his other duties from whelping to administration.
There are also isolation pens for female hounds
that are in season and whelping nests for breeding purposes. On the South facing side is a ½ acre grass yard fenced in with multiple
shelters to allow the hounds room to stretch their legs.
